First time eating there, and it was really pleasant. We had the open face breakfast sandwich, and it was really good. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean.
Very attentive staff with a genuine smile and care for me when I walked in very welcoming. I sat at the bar ate and honestly was a nice meal before work. Comfortable seating plus booths. Very spacious diner and plenty of good eats to choose from. Probably better then village inn
I Love local diners like this when not in a rush. Service is amazing and food is just like I had growing up. Biscuits and gravy were incredible.
Ladies from our church recently met for meals and the experience was delightful! 'Pumpkin' was our server and helped make it an 'event'. She was super efficient, the food was very good, reasonably priced, and the portions generous. It was great from start to finish. I highly recommend the Beacon for 'down home' great food!
Great place to eat. Some of us ate breakfast, some had lunch. Everyone enjoyed their food. Dana was AMAZING! She is a fantastic waitress, and it shows. We were not her only table that felt that way, either. She made a point to get on the kids’ level when taking their orders. One kiddo got French toast with strawberries, and was disappointed that it also had strawberry syrup. That kid also ate ALL of his food. So it must have been great. The restaurant is a little packed, and some of our chairs were torn, but overall a great experience.Forgot to take pictures of the food though.
This place is soooo good I love their burritos my wife got their biscuits and gravy and she loved them for a family of 5 with 3 under 6 cost us less than 45 dollars. It was amazing definitely gonna be our new go to anytime we are in wichita. Heather definitely is the best waitress hands down will eat here again.
The Beacon is a solid go-to for a classic, no-nonsense breakfast. The food is always hot, fresh, and exactly what you want from a good diner—crispy bacon, fluffy pancakes, and hearty portions. The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere has that cozy, old-school charm. If you’re looking for a great local spot to start your day, this is it!
We LOVE this place. The food is amazing and huge portions. The price is adorable for the amount of food you get. The pancakes were huge and definitely a must try! Parking is a little hard to find since you are on the main strip BUT it is worth it!
